Terms & Conditions – Coaching Services

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of coaching services provided by S.E.M Coaching (“the Coach”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By purchasing a coaching package or booking a coaching session, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Coaching Services

Coaching is a professional partnership designed to support personal or professional development.

Coaching:

  • Is not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment

  • Does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions

  • Should not replace professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice

Clients should seek appropriate professional support where appropriate.

3. Coaching Packages

Coaching services may be purchased as packages containing a set number of sessions (for example 3, 6, or 12 sessions).

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Each session will last approximately 60 minutes

  • Sessions will take place online via Teams / Zoom. In person can be arranged upon request.

  • All sessions within a package must be used within 12 months of the purchase date

Any sessions not used within this timeframe will expire and will not be refundable or transferable.

4. Payment Terms

Payment for coaching packages is structured as follows:

  • 50% of the total package fee must be paid before the first coaching session to secure the booking.

  • The remaining 50% must be paid halfway through the package.

Example:
For a 6-session package, the remaining balance must be paid before the fourth session takes place.

If the remaining balance is not paid when due, future sessions may be paused until payment is received.

Payments must be made via bank transfer.

5. Scheduling Sessions

Sessions will be scheduled by mutual agreement between the Coach and Client.

Clients are responsible for ensuring sessions are booked and completed within the 12-month validity period of the package.

6. Rescheduling Policy

If a Client needs to rearrange a session:

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice must be provided.

Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the session may be treated as used and non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at the Coach’s discretion.

If the Coach needs to reschedule a session, reasonable notice will be provided and an alternative time offered.

7. Late Attendance and No-Shows

If a Client arrives late for a session:

  • The session will still end at the originally scheduled time.

If a Client does not attend a scheduled session:

  • The Coach will wait up to 15 minutes from the scheduled start time.

  • If the Client has not arrived within this time and no prior notice has been provided, the session will be treated as a no-show and the session will be forfeited.

8. Cancellation of Coaching Packages

Clients may cancel their coaching package at any time.

Where cancellation occurs:

  • A refund will be issued for any unused sessions within the active package period.

  • Refunds will be calculated based on the number of sessions remaining.

Sessions already completed are non-refundable.

Refunds will normally be processed within 14 days of cancellation.

9. Client Responsibilities

Clients acknowledge that:

  • Coaching is a collaborative process

  • Outcomes depend on the Client’s commitment and engagement

  • The Coach cannot guarantee specific results

10. Confidentiality

All information shared during coaching sessions will be treated as confidential except where:

  • Disclosure is required by law

  • There is a risk of serious harm

  • The Client provides explicit consent

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Coach shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in coaching services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

12. Data Protection

Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
